Scotland 1998 and 2000

If you want to go to Scotland on the bike, what better starting point can there be than sunny
Manchester? Part of the time I usually stay with friends, but if I want to plan ahead from home a good
way to find and book B&B's is the Smooth Hound website

As far as the weather is concerned the Yorkshire Dales aren't always better than Manchester. Rain, sleet, and storm. But the famous grice are alive and well, just beside the road at Glen

If it does get a little brighter, Buttermere in the Lake District is stunning.
